Ball, Hampton B. Papers
Hampton B. Ball served in the 1st Battalion, 326th Infantry, 82nd Division during World War I. His battalion saw heavy combat during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive in 1918. Ball described his experiences in a series of letters home written between January 1918 and April 1919. This collection also includes a history of the battalion and its movements written by Ball.
