Title Medical Department Bag
Description Congress passed an act in April of 1918 that reorganized the staff departments of the U.S. Army and allowed for a medical department headed by a Surgeon General. Though a U.S. Army Medical Department existed in some capacity since 1775, this act of congress marked the beginning of the modern U.S. Army Medical Department.
