Major General Enoch Crowder

Maj. Gen. Enoch Crowder, a Missouri Native, came to national attention during the first world war. Born in Endingbur, Mo., Enoch Crowder graduated from West Point in 1881. When the U.S. entered World War I in April of 1917, Crowder helped write the Selective Service Act. He then directed the Selective Service and oversaw the draft. Historian and author Jeremy Amick will present on Crowder's work and legacy.
